Music. music, music

Imagine a world without music. No, stop, don't. Unthinkable. Everyone loves music but of course not the same music. There are so many different styles, tastes or performances. What is your favourite music or your favourite record at the moment? Is there an artist or group you're dying for?  Let us know, let us know! Perhaps we'll find out that we missed something important, that we accidently of course, listened to the wrong station. Enrich us with songs, lyrics and beautiful sounds.

Popcorn, coke and horor

What about going to the cinema? A very often asked questions. But what should we see? A question almost asked as many times. What would be your answer? Find us a movie and recommend it. Why should we see it? Perhaps because of an impressive movie star, the exciting effects, the action or the horrible horror? Take us with you to the unbelievable, romantic, horrifying or exciting world of the wide screen. Oh, I almost forgot: find a movie that can be seen in London.

Sports for those who hate it

Sports play an important part of English life, particularly football and cricket. Many people go to football games every week, look at dart competions on tv, play snooker or became long distance runners. Many, also, hate sports. Every weekend might be a nightmare for them. Thank goodness they can go out for a long walk in forrests or highlands. But they can never escape from sports. On monday all newspapers are filled with pictures, stories and speaking headlines on Tuesday the Wednesday maches are announced and previewed, and on Thursday they are reported. And so on. For those there is in fact only one solution: find you a favourite sports.
Advise them! Look into the sports sections of newspapers and websites. Find interesting and exciting sports events and make an enthousiast report.

02 - What is Britain talking about?

If we want to find out where the British people are talking about, we can look at television programmes or read newspapers. With the help of the internet both is possible but reading newspapers on line, is easier then watching internet television. So we are going to find out where Britain is talking about by reading some online newspapers. In Great Britain there are about 36 newspapers. You can find them on the website www.uksuperweb.co.uk . We pick out 3 different papers to get a weekly impression of the British topicalities, the topics papers write about. Therefore, go to the site of The Daily Telegraph The Sun OK! Magazine You will find out that these newspapers have very different interests. The OK! Magazine, for example, is mainly interested in celebrities. In this magazine you must look up you horoscope. From the other papers (Sun and Daily Telegraph) you can take any subject, as long as it is important enough to talk about in the metro, during the coffee brake or chatting in the backyard with your neighbours.

This is an every week assignment. 1. Find out where Britain is talking about 2. Look into you horoscope and tell what are your future perspectives for this week 3. Write a short report (about 150 words) of your findings
